Are you looking to upgrade your recreational vehicle or simply want to part with your RV? Many generous donors in San Antonio have taken the leap to donate their beloved vehicles to Ride Again, enabling us to assist those in need. Our donors often have cherished memories tied to their RVs, whether it’s weekend getaways or cross-country travels with family and friends.
Donating an RV or motorhome is not only a great way to declutter but also provides tremendous savings in storage costs. It's common for RV owners to face monthly expenses that can range from $150 to $300 just for parking their vehicles, so donating can offer a new purpose for your RV while benefiting the local community.

How pickup works
At Ride Again, we make the donation process as seamless as possible. When you donate your RV or motorhome, our specialized team coordinates the pickup using either a flatbed transport or drive-away service. If your vehicle is stored in an RV park or storage facility, we will liaise with the location for a smooth collection. It’s important to note that vehicle length and height are critical—most states require a maximum clearance of 13'6”. Therefore, we handle all transportation logistics to ensure a hassle-free experience for you.
What drives donation value
The value of your donated RV or motorhome is influenced by several key factors. The condition of house systems such as the roof, slides, plumbing, and air conditioning typically drives overall value even more than the vehicle's drivetrain. Be mindful that water damage can significantly devalue your RV. Recent maintenance records and repairs can boost the appraisal, especially during peak auction season in the spring when demand is high. For classic models, it's advisable to obtain an appraisal (IRS Form 8283 Section B) from a qualified appraiser to maximize your potential deduction.

San Antonio specifics
In Texas, RVs and motorhomes are treated similarly to traditional vehicles for titling purposes. When you donate, it’s essential to have the title transferred correctly to avoid any future liabilities. The state allows for both titled vehicles and those sold via bill-of-sale, but ensure all documentation is in order to facilitate a smooth transition. Ride Again staff is well-versed in Texas DMV rules and will guide you through the paperwork process.
